William Iurato’s name is synonymous with the Hackensack Police Department for decades. He was the brother of Anthony Iurato who was Chief of Police for
the Hackensack Police force from 1966 to 1990. William Iurato followed
his brother as Police Chief followed his brother as Police Chief
and retired in 1992. 

Anthony J. Iurato who is listed under World War II veterans and owned a construction company in Hackensack for many years may be a cousin, but
I do not know the relationship of him, if any, to William Iurato.
